The 4000 SERIES Spherical Metal Grommet has been developed primarily to accommodate the thicker firewalls in composite aircraft. It is of all steel construction meeting the temperature requirements of FAA AC 20-135.

FEATURES!

• Extended body for thick firewalls, Up to 0.75 inches.
• Enlarged body flange to capture heat blanket.
• Hardened pressure plate retained with 8-32 all-steel lock nuts.
• Seven standard ball hole sizes, custom holes to 0.562 in. diameter.
• Pass-throughs may be at angles from 20 to 60 degrees.
• Through-body maximum clearance 0.926 inches.

PART NUMBER IDENTIFICATION

The 4000 SERIES Spherical Metal Grommet part number is identified by series number, ball hole size, and grip length.

The stocked ball hole sizes are:
0.125, 0.188, 0.240, 0.250, 0.260, 0.312, 0.375. Custom sizes available by special order to 0.562 diameter.

The stocked body grip lengths are:
0.5 and 0.75 inches. Custom sizes available by special order to .90 inches.
